We are a restoration studio in Prague with a long tradition, continuing a family craft dating back to 1907. We specialize in the professional restoration of historical and antique furniture with an emphasis on preserving its original character, materials, and craftsmanship.
We perceive each piece of furniture as an original with its own story. Our goal is not to “make the furniture new,” but to restore its functionality, aesthetics, and historical value without losing its authenticity.
Professional restoration of antique furniture
We provide comprehensive restoration services for historical and antique furniture:
- restoration of chests of drawers, wardrobes, tables, and secretaries
- repairs to structures, veneering, and inlay work
- restoration of painted furniture
- surface treatments using traditional techniques
- replacement of missing parts using historical methods
We work exclusively with high-quality, proven materials and use traditional craft techniques appropriate to the age and character of each piece.
Furniture renovation and repair in Prague and the surrounding area
In addition to restoration work, we also offer furniture renovation and repair, if the character of the piece allows it. We always assess the condition of the furniture first and propose the most suitable procedure that respects its value and the client’s wishes. We operate mainly in Prague and the Central Bohemian Region, but we carry out orders throughout the Czech Republic.
Individual approach to each order
Each restoration begins with a personal consultation and expert assessment of the condition of the furniture. Based on the scope of work, we prepare a proposal for the procedure and an approximate price calculation. A sensitive approach, documentation of the work process, and respect for the original material and age are a matter of course.
