We would like to answer you these questions right now.
The constant price for renovation does not exist. As each antique piece is original, the time that a restorer has to spend by restoring is individual, too.
The time of renovation is determined for the price of the work. Our hourly rate is 250,- Kc (without VAT).
Firstly our expert estimates how much time would the restorer need and then he sets the bottom and the top of the final price. This range is needed from the reason that at the beginning we cannot exactly estimate how big the damage is. When a problem that could extend the correction part occurs, we always consult it with our client immediately. During the whole process restorer keeps an exact photodocumentation of all methods and steps.
At the end restorer elaborates a restorer’s report that includes the whole process of restoration.
Slightly different situation is by upholstery of sitting furniture. There is the price more stable because the price is given by the type and the price list. The differences are in price are in the used material, in different textile materials and in difficulties during reconstruction.
How to find out the estimated price?
The shortest way is to send us via mail the picture of your furniture (with all details when it is possible). On the basis of the picture we are able to estimate an approximate price and make your deciding easier.
There is no accurate answer to the question if it is worth to repair the piece or not. It may happen, that the price of repairs can overpass the sale price of the piece. But for the owner this old piece has an incalculable value and therefore he wants to repair it at any price. Generally we can say, that a well done restoration increases the value of the furniture.
